Saeha Youn

Canadian pianist Dr. Saeha Youn has enchanted audiences worldwide with her captivating
performances as a recitalist and chamber musician. She holds multiple awards, including
accolades from the Canadian Music Competition, Music Teachers National Association, Kiwanis
Music Festival, and Honam Arts Festival.

As a New Horizons fellow at the Aspen Music Festival, Saeha demonstrated her pianistic artistry
and contributed to the musical community through masterclasses and private lessons. She
collaborated with the Music in the Schools Program, supported by the San Francisco
Conservatory and San Francisco Opera, enhancing music education in underserved Bay Area
communities.

Currently serving as a Collaborative Pianist and Artist Teacher at The Capitol Hill Arts
Workshop in Washington, DC, Saeha demonstrates an inclusive commitment to education.
Additionally, she operates an independent studio in Washington, DC, offering both in-person and
online instruction to a select group of students.

Saeha is honored to be sought after as an adjudicator and is frequently invited to judge at
prestigious institutions and competitions worldwide. Her adjudicating experience includes
esteemed events such as the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association, Northern
Virginia Music Teachers Association, Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival, and Ontario Music
Festivals Association.

Born in South Korea, Saeha holds a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from the University of
Maryland, College Park. Her academic journey includes a Master of Music Degree from the San
Francisco Conservatory of Music, a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Toronto,
and a Performance Diploma from The Taylor Academy for Young Artists at the Royal
Conservatory of Music. She has been mentored by Mayron Tsong, Yoshikazu Nagai, Marietta
Orlov, and Boris Lysenko.
