When are Volunteers needed?

• The week of June 8th to June 13th, 2026

Where are Volunteers needed?

• The 2026 OMFA Provincials will take place in Kitchener-Waterloo at several venues.
• Volunteers who sign up for 2 or more full days, and who are travelling from beyond 50 kms will receive hotel accommodations and a per diem for meal expenses.

What is the time commitment?

• Festival shifts run during daytime hours and volunteers are generally needed from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
• Volunteers can sign up for full days (preferred), or just a morning or afternoon shift
• Volunteers must attend an orientation meeting via Zoom on Sunday May 31st at 7:00 pm

What volunteer roles are available?

• Registration Desk: Greet participants, collect their music and verify it meets festival criteria and show participants to their warmup room.
• Adjudicator's Assistant: Bring music from the registration desk to the adjudicator and ensure festival rules are followed inside the performance space.

What is required to become a festival volunteer?

• No experience necessary…new volunteers are welcome!
• Have a positive, helpful, and friendly attitude to make participants feel welcome.
• Volunteers aged 17 or younger must be accompanied by a parent.
• Must attend the orientation meeting on Sunday May 31st at 7:00 pm

How do I sign-up to Volunteer?

• Click on the Volunteer Signup button below to create your festival account or login if you already have an account. Once your volunteer application has been approved you will receive an email with more information about how to select your volunteer shifts.
