Additionally, she was chosen as a recipient of a Rachel Elizabeth Barton Pine Foundation Career Grant – an award intended for the advancement of young artists' performance careers – and is a past scholar and grant recipient of the Virtu Foundation. From 2018-2020, Meagan held a young artist in residence position at Carnegie Hall (Ensemble Connect), a residency designed to prepare extraordinary young classical musicians for careers combining musical excellence, teaching, community engagement, advocacy, entrepreneurship, and leadership. During her time with Ensemble Connect, Meagan worked closely with Carnegie Executive and Artistic Director Clive Gillinson in a performance and workshop series at Sing Sing Correctional Institute in conjunction with Carnegie's Musical Connections Program.
Meagan received her Bachelor's (violin) and Performance Certificate (viola) from the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Eric Nowlin and Erika Raum, and her Master's degree from The Juilliard School as a full-scholarship student (Felix Galimir Scholarship and Irene Diamond Graduate Fellowship) of Samuel Rhodes.
