After over 40 years of teaching at the Beckett School, now the Laurier Academy of Music and Arts, Peter finds himself enjoying teaching even more. He received his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at Wilfrid Laurier University in 1982 under the direction of Garth Beckett. A teacher at the Beckett School since its opening in 1980, he has enjoyed a diverse career as a piano teacher, a music director for theatre, accompanist, church organist, adjudicator and arranger. He also enjoys teaching students how to play from lead charts of any style, jazz rock, etc. Currently, he is busy with his 10-piece rock band, Stealing Dan, playing, of course, the music of the celebrated band Steely Dan.
