
An accomplished conductor and dedicated educator, Nila Rajagopal is driven by her passion for uniting people through the power of choral music. She is the associate conductor of the Amadeus Choir of Greater Toronto and Modern Sound Collective, and currently sings with the Elmer Iseler Singers. Passionate about music education, Nila is the music teacher at École secondaire Michelle-O'Bonsawin, where she founded the Chorale Michelle-O'Bonsawin, a highly skilled choir already recognized for excellence with two provincial awards and one national award. As a clinician, Nila was guest conductor of the Festival des chorales franco 2022 and also served as masterclass mentor for emerging conductors at Podium 2022. Nila has been recognized through multiple accolades and was most recently a nominee for the 2023 Leslie Bell Prize for Choral Conducting. She holds a Master of Music from McGill University, a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Education from Laurentian University.
