Dr. Madeline Hildebrand is a versatile pianist, soloist, and collaborator across Canada and the US. She has appeared in concert with Philip Glass (Winnipeg New Music Festival), the Kronos Quartet (Mass MoCA), with Yarn/Wire (DiMenna Center, New York), and as a soloist for the Music Toronto COSE series.  




Madeline is a founding member of the touring ensemble, Fierbois, represented by Prairie Debut. Their debut album Sing to Me Again, released on the Leaf Music label, has been met with critical acclaim topping Spotify and Apple Music’s new release classical lists. Madeline regularly tours with Brandon University faculty ensemble Trio Joya having recently performed in the Netherlands, Ireland, Armenia, Georgia, and Portugal. She is a founding member of the touring two-piano group Tönky Hönk, with collaborator Everett Hopfner, known for their adventurous and playful concerts across the US and Canadian Prairies and their debut EP will be released by the Redshift label in June 2026.  




Madeline has has performed with many of Canada’s premiere artists including Andrew Wan, Ariel Barnes, Karl Stobbe, Tom Allen, and Gwen Hoebig to name a few. Madeline and her infectious enthusiasm for making music has appeared as an adjudicator at over 30 festivals across Canada. She has enjoyed teaching posts at summer festivals across Canada including Music at Port Milford (Ontario), and Piano Kickstart (Manitoba).  




Madeline currently a teaching post at Memorial University in Newfoundland as Teaching Assistant Professor of Piano. She recently completed her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at Stony Brook University, NY, where she was named the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Baron Prize for career advancement.
