A native of China, Xueao Yang began studying violin at the age of four and was accepted into the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing at twelve. She later earned her Bachelor of Music with outstanding achievement and a Master’s degree at McGill University, supported by the Robert HP Fung Scholarship.

Xueao has performed at renowned festivals including the Zodiac Music Festival (France), Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival (USA), Pacific Music Festival (Japan), and the Montreal Chamber Music Festival. She has appeared with major Canadian orchestras such as the Toronto Symphony, Montreal Symphony, and the National Ballet of Canada. From 2022 to 2023, she served as Associate Principal Second Violin of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony
