Registration

Registration for the 2022 Virtual Provincial festival will be open in early January!

IMPORTANT: Do not start the registration process until you have completed your recording and have the YouTube link of your performance. The YouTube link can be either public or unlisted. Private YouTube links will not be accepted. We strongly suggest that you make sure the comments are turned off and you have disabled the “made for kids” setting on your YouTube page.

It is the competitor’s responsibility to abide by any and all government guidelines regarding physical distancing as of the date you submit your video. Accepted accompaniment can include: Live, pre-recorded, back-tracks, etc. Accompaniment can be by piano only (except for Popular Voice – please see the rules for this class). The accompanists listed on our website have confirmed that they are willing to record accompaniments for you to use for your performance if you do not have an accompanist already lined up. It is up to the competitor, however, to contact them directly and pay for this arrangement.

REMINDERS: You may combine all performances into one video OR submit multiple videos for uploading. However, if you are entering multiple categories (i.e. Musical Theatre and Voice), there should be one YouTube channel for each category. The competitor is required to introduce themselves and their selections in the video, either verbally or with a title card before each piece and must be limited to the following:

Your Name (at the beginning only).

The Grade/Level you have entered (at the beginning only)
The Composer and Complete Title of your selection (prior to each piece)

When registering, please note that accurate times are required.

Videos used at local Festivals may be submitted if you choose.  It is not necessary to re-record unless you wish to and only if time permits between your recommendation and your entry deadline.

Please check with your local recommending festival as to your specific entry deadline for Provincials.
