2023 Provincial Competition

Welcome to the 2023 Provincial Finals Competition!

We are very excited that we will be hosting both a LIVE and a VIRTUAL Festival in June 2023.  Please refer to either the Live Festival Rules & Regulations or the Virtual Festival Rules & Regulations for a list of the classes that are eligible for each competition.

We are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to all of the young musicians who will be recommended by one of our 42 Local Festivals.

There are a couple of other exciting changes for this year’s Festivals:

a) We are offering classes for ALL instrumental grade levels from Grade 1 to the ARCT Level and Open Levels.
b) We are offering classes for competitors ages 6 to 28 in Musical Theatre, Piano Concerto, Speech Arts and Percussion.
c) Duet classes will be offered in all disciplines.
d) Amateur Adult classes will be offered in all disciplines.  Adults must be 29 years of age and over as of December 31, 2022.
e) Small Ensemble classes will be offered for groups consisting of 4 to 10 members.
f) Bands, Choirs & Orchestras will be welcomed back this year.
g) NEW THIS YEAR:  Due to the popularity of the classes in Popular Piano and Popular Voice in 2022, we have added Popular classes in Brass, Guitar, Strings, Voice (Self-Accompanied) and Woodwinds.
h) NEW THIS YEAR: Non-Western Instruments.
i) NEW THIS YEAR: Songs from the Screen and More – for songs that don’t fit into the Traditional Musical Theatre category.
e)  A recommendation from your local festival is required

We encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for immediate updates. Please remember to review the rules and regulations found in the Syllabus.
