Keith Pike
Musical Theatre
Keith is founding Artistic Director of Theatre St. John’s, based out of St.John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Directing credits: Once, Mamma Mia!, West Side Story, Little Women, Mary Poppins, Into the Woods, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, The Last 5 Years, Songs for a New World, Grease, Mary’s Wedding (provincial tour), Proof, Jewel, Little Shop of Horrors, A Man of No Importance, Shrek. Keith is past Artistic Director of the Stephenville Theatre Festival, making him the youngest AD in its 40 year history.
As a performer, some favourite experiences include working at the renowned Charlottetown Festival, touring to an international theatre festival in Kyoto, Japan and singing at some of the worlds most prestigious choral festivals and competitions with the Quintessential Vocal Ensemble, under the direction of Susan Quinn. Keith was also a choral scholar with Shallaway, under the direction of Susan Knight.
In 2017, Keith founded the Newfoundland and Labrador Musical Theatre Writers Retreat. This 10 day retreat allows emerging writers the time and space to write, create and be inspired by the beauty of Newfoundland. Past writers include Colleen Dauncy, Matt Murray and Ashley Botting.
Keith is proudly a full-time faculty member at Sheridan College and holds an advanced diploma in Musical Theatre Performance from Sheridan College, Bachelor of Music from Memorial University of Newfoundland & Labrador and an MFA in Theatre from York University. Keith is grateful to be a part of this exciting festival and to be in the same room with such inspiring talent!
